Ford recently revealed a new 2025 Bronco—the Stroppe Edition—and a 2025 Bronco Sport—the Badlands with Sasquatch package. Both offer more off-roading kit.
Two new Bronco editions sat at the 2025 Detroit Auto Show this year. First, we saw the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Badlands with the Sasquatch package. That takes the Sasquatch mentality of the full size version and applies it to the smaller Sport. It’s another level more adventurous than the Sport I reviewed a while ago.
We also saw the 2025 Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition. It starts as a Badlands with the Sasquatch package and adds different styling to celebrate Bill Stroppe and his Baja success in a Ford Bronco in 1969. While Ford added a bit of off-road equipment, this one mainly focuses on a unique design and style.
Ford Bronco Sport Badlands with Sasquatch
Starting with the top-of-the-line Bronco Sport Badlands, Ford now offers the Sasquatch package for an additional $2990. Choosing that package adds a more serious off-road suspension, 17-inch wheels with 29-inch all-terrain tires, a brush guard up front, steel bumpers, pre-wired auxiliary switches inside, and more.
Starting with a Badlands means you get the larger of two engines offered, a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, line-four-cylinder engine that pumps out 238 horsepower and 277 lb.-ft of torque. That connects to an eight-speed automatic transmission and, of course, goes on to drive all-four-wheels.
In many ways, I find the Bronco Sport a superior choice to the full-size Bronco, it’s smaller, more efficient, and yet still delivers plenty of capability to do everything other than serious off-roading. It even looks cool.
All in, you’re looking at close to $45,000 to get behind the wheel of a Sasquatch package equipped Badlands. Not cheap. And even those with the money and the interest will have to wait a couple of months before they’ll arrive at dealers.
Ford Bronco Stroppe Special Edition
You’re looking at a new, special edition Ford Bronco that lies just beneath a Bronco Raptor in the long line-up. Ford starts with a Sasquatch package equipped Ford Bronco Badlands, which starts just under $60k, and adds several styling features and a few mechanical bits to create this Stroppe Special Edition. It starts at $75,635.
Under the anti-glare, matte black vinyl wrapped hood lies a turbocharged 2.7-liter V-6, which delivers 330 HP and 415 lb.-ft of torque. That power goes through a 10-speed automatic transmission before making its way to all-four wheels.
This being a Sasquatch package Bronco, you roll on 35-inch, all-terrain tires. You also get Fox Internal Bypass Dampers, which Ford says are “designed for performance and improved control during high-speed desert running.” You also get anti-roll bar disconnect as standard.
Stroppe Edition Style
But styling makes up the main difference of the Stroppe Edition. It looks good. You see three prominent colors in profile. The top starts with a coat of Atlas Blue, followed by a thick smattering of Oxford White across the middle, with Code Orange running along the bottom of the body. That orange paint was previously reserved for Raptor models. No more.
A fourth color comes to light when looking at the nose or tail, a matte black vinyl wrap the covers the hood and tailgate. In addition to the stark look, it serves to mitigate glare from the hood getting in a driver’s eyes while racing across, I dunno, a sandy, Baja like surface, perhaps. For good measure, Ford also gives the wheels a unique color scape.
Inside largely looks like a Badlands with Sasquatch, but with a thick slap of Oxford white across the dash. You also get orange sprinkled throughout the trim and in the cross stitching.
Ford says quantities of the Stroppe Edition will be limited, but refrained from given a number. Regardless, if you have the means and want to stand out, this one is hard to beat.
